ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THESE ENGINES FROM FRITZ ? Go to you engine management window under engine and then select engine you want and click the arrow to move it into the inactive engine folder. This will take it out of the main list. If this fails then a manual delete will be nessisary. Finding the engine fold may not be easy. Normally Fritz makes a folder called Chessprogram with the number of the version behind it like chessprogram8 or it could be called fritz8 or fritz9 depending on what your program is or defaulted too. once you find the chess programs folder. Find the folder called engines and if you scroll threw the list you will see all the engines that are non uci engines and all of the uci script names of uci engines. When you install a uci engine it makes a script file using the name of the engine with .uci as its extension. like robbolitoe4.uci. You can safely delete this uci files in this folder since they are not the actually engine file only a script file. If you accidently remove the wrong one you can simple go back into fritz software and click on create uci engine and readd it. Hope this helps you | |
