Houdini Opening Book provides latest chess theory approved in
millions of advanced chess games and matches of top human players. It
includes over 65 million positions. Houdini Opening Book is developed especially for Houdini, but
can be used with any other engine in the Aquarium interface, as well as
in other interfaces (such as Fritz) via Aquarium Book Adapter included
on this DVD.
Houdini Opening Book is a thoroughly researched and up to date
collection of modern opening lines. It can be used as an opening book in
chess engine matches, an opening guide in correspondence chess, as well
as a source for general opening studies and tournament preparation by
players at all levels.
The opening book is based on a careful selection of the most important
theoretical games, both by human players and chess engines. All
variations were carefully reviewed and moves were classified and color
coded with green color (recommended moves), red (not recommended), blue
(recommended for human tournaments but not computer tournaments) and
black (neutral moves). If you want to build a successful opening
repertoire, based on active but solid lines, this is the opening book
for you!
As a special bonus from ChessOK, the book includes chess trees
(positional databases) containing computer evaluations of the moves in
the book and statistics showing their popularity in human games and in
correspondence play. The trees also show changes to the popularity of
moves in the past year.
The book is specially designed to use all the advantages of navigation in multi-column tree view of the Aquarium GUI. The author of the book is Roger E. Zibell. System Requirements: Windows 7/XP/Vista, 256 Mb RAM, 4Gb HDD space, Aquarium or other playing interface.
Technical information and Installation guide: The package contains opening books that can be used in Houdini Aquarium, Rybka Aquarium 4 and Aquarium 2011.
The books play lines optimized for Houdini, but it is also possible to use them with other engines.
To install the books, run 'Houdini_2_Books.exe'. Provide path to the
Aquarium installation folder. The setup program will copy the files from
DVD to proper Aquarium folders.
The package includes 3 books: 1) H2 extended is the main book for a wide variety of games. Recommended for use in tournaments.
2) H2 lite is a condensed version. This book can be used if you
want to reduce the number of book moves and to allow the engine to start
thinking earlier in games. H2 lite is recommended for longer time
controls.
3) H2 Wide is a more variative book. Use it if you find that opponents have learned your lines from the H2 extended book. It is also good for advanced chess play.
To use these books in Aquarium, select the desired configuration in the Tree window.

Grandpa's bestImportant !I have written a "Readme.txt" and added it to the files.
After you have downloaded all files and extracted them
into a folder of your choice please do the following.
Copy this "Readme.txt" into an other folder of your choice.
I'm sure that this "Readme.txt" will be very helpful for you.
After you have done this you must delete the "Readme.txt"
