For the last few months/weeks Windows Updates for Windows 7 has been really slow and some times impossible to search for/Download or Install
Ive just found a fix if any one is interested.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I made a fresh install of Windows 7 a few days ago and found it impossible to get updates, it was stuck on searching and this fix worked for me. Hope this helps if anyone is having trouble especially after a fresh reinstall of Windows 7
