Latest stockfish source (05/01/2017) updated with play by ELO, Study Mode, Fast Play and Cerebellum - renamed at the request of the stockfish authors to avoid confusion with official stockfish releases. macOS executables are included at Github

The use of Cerebellum book will increase ELO by about 30 ELO. It can be used by itself or with a GUI book.

There was one small search tweak that shows some promise:

McBrain is a Stockfish based chess engine ( directly derived from the Stockfish source).
Stockfish is currently the strongest chess engine in the world. McBrain also features the Cerebellum book and code used by Brainfish Stockfish (SF) based engine by Thomas Zipproth - with the Cerebellum book enabled it will play about 30 ELO stronger than Standard Stockfish.
