I've just uploaded on my blog in Immortals the new version
IVH 52uUS-beta, which I hope permits for the first time for IVH family
to use Large pages where appropriate.
I hope that in these engine Large Pages
in Windows are available. For the first time in
IVH engines! But I can not check it on my note
due to the lack of sufficient RAM.
The engine creates the log file "IVHlog.txt",
where all operations with LargePages are written. Both successful and unsuccessful
(for which the reason of failure is pointed).
Many thanks to bellhop, who turned my attention to the fact that in IVH family
(as well as in Houdini) Large pages were
fictitious.
The attached version is only preliminary beta.
Tests are needed on comps with at least
4G of RAM and Vista orWindows 7 OS
to see if Large pages in it are really
created.
