- I dont understand, sorry. But how does the parameters added work? IT would be nice to have some explanation of the new details, and to be told if the strenght has been increased in some way, just some more info than just the link to download... that would just be cool. Now for the tests, i can run tests yeah...
we agree but doubt Iggor etc would read your words here, best you also post them on there pages _________________ nothing is ever truly lost , just misplaced and awaiting us

| In the option RobboTripleBase Directory option, would it be normal to put: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lokasoft\ChessPartner6.0\engines\IvenHoe v70 x64\RobboTripleBase OR Just put the in the directory like this : C:\Program Files (x86)\Lokasoft\ChessPartner6.0\engines\IvenHoe v70 x64
In which IvenHoe we find the folder Robbotriplebase

| I have found a "sort of" work around for I7's to get ivanhoe to use 100% of your processor but it's not pretty but it seems to sort of work for now
pm me if you want me to explain it

| RobboTripleBases: Are bitbases which makes them much smaller so the 3 4 and 5 pieces fit into memory (either as a 400mb version or an even faster 800 mb version). As they are preloaded to memory and access is much faster they can be used everywhere in the search tree. They do not contain the distance to mate (DTM) or the distance to conversion (DTC). They only store if a position is a win , loss or draw. This does not affect playing strength though. For maximum strength one should install RobboTripleBases. RobboTotalBases are not really necessary at the moment - this might change if 6 pieces are available and they are considered deeper in the search tree. How to install RobboTripleBases : In the same directory as your ivanhoe engine create a directory "RobboTripleBase". Within this directory create the subdirectories 3, 4 and 5 and copy the appropriate files to them. In the engine parameter settings type "RobboTripleBase" into the box "RobboTripleBase directory". The 70a compile automatically loads the RobboTripleBases if the directory is specified. It also reports Tablebase hits with a small "TB XXXX" after the nodes searched. Here you can easily test if the RobboTriplebases are working - just analyze a position with few pieces and you should get these "TB" numbers. The other versions 70JR and others, here you have to specifiy the directory AND press the "LoadRobboTripleBases" Button. Unfortunatly with these compiles, they do not provide a tb indicator and you have to reload the triplebases whenever you unload or change the engine. The 70a version is preferablle in that respect as it always loads the triplebases at startup . Here are links to download the RobboTriplebases but it is a large download about 164Mb: http://rapidshare.com/files/341269859/RobboTripleBase.7zhttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=J34MO0V3http://depositfiles.com/ru/files/7r797aef4http://www.zshare.net/download/717073881a92e4b1/http://www.badongo.com/file/20020584http://hotfile.com/dl/25809634/c336dd7/RobboTripleBase.7z.html _________________ nothing is ever truly lost , just misplaced and awaiting us
