Dear Decembrist,
Maybe I'm wrong, or you would like my idea which I hope still present here as I anderstand it:
1)Ponder = Pondering = Permanent brain
ON : Engine doesn't stop thinking after making move, he always use 100% of CPU during all the game.
OFF : He stops thinking (CPU usage become 0%) after making his move, he restart using the 100% of CPU after opponent's move.
2)Ponderhit = AllowInstantMove
On Robbo_g3 03 options have been implemented.
Never - Sometimes - Always (dependent of time and position) -- the source is still on chesslogik.
So, Why not to use just 02 separate options :
A) Ponder (ON/OFF)
B) Ponderhit (ON/OFF or Never/Sometimes/Always if you like).
If we think Ponderhit is not efficient we should not use ponderhit and replace it by the new AllowInstantMove. Is that possible?
I don't know...... this is just my idea.
I do like to present this here because I've noticed InstantMove can't be turned OFF because of ponderhit (interference). And I'd like to use (by changing) these parameters to test/have full force and to see if there is still obvious weakness.
